FC Elk Grove continues to produce "next level" players. In recognition of that, UC Irvine head coach, Scott Juniper recently flew in to Elk Grove to recruit from FC Elk Grove's 96G/97G girls scrimmage at the Bartholomew Sports Park Turf Fields. FC Elk Grove continually works to increase college recruiting exposure while reducing player costs.

Congratulations to Ele Avery (FC Elk Grove 99G) who was invited by the United States Soccer Federation to participate in the U.S. Soccer Training Center in Cupertino, CA April 10th.
U.S. Soccer Training Centers are designed to replicate U.S. National Team training camps.
As the National Governing Body of soccer in the United States, and under the auspices of the United States Olympic Committee, the United States Soccer Federation is empowered and charged with developing the teams that represent the United States in all international competitions such as the Olympics and World Cup. The Training Center Program is an integral part of this process.

Ele Avery will join other elite players from key soccer markets February 22 in Santa Clara at the US Soccer Federation’s training center. This is a prestigious invitation only camp. As the National Governing Body of soccer in the United States, and under the auspices of the United States Olympic Committee, the organization is empowered and charged with developing the players and teams that will represent the United States in all international competitions such as the Olympics and World Cup. The FC Elk Grove program achieves its goal by creating some of the
best players in the region.
The FCEG club also awarded to these player financial scholarships to
help fund their trip to this event as part of the clubs commitment to
excellence.
The US Youth Soccer ODP Championships includes state teams in various
age groups. US Youth Soccer is divided into four regions, Region I
(East), Region II (Midwest), Region III (South) and Region IV (West)
to assist in national competitions. The players must try out to
qualify for the program's high-level through a series of trials at
their local, State Association and then Regional levels. Those
selected are exposed to the nation's best coaches, trainers and
facilities.

Haileigh Rose (99G) has been invited to the prestigious 2013 US Youth Soccer National Development Camp.
National Developmental camp is for a selected group of players from the U13, 14 and 15 year old regional pools from US Youth Soccer Regions I-IV. Camp will be conducted entirely as a scramble camp in each age group, with both on and off the field sessions.
Training themes for scramble team training and functional training have been provided by the US National ODP Staff. The goal of thisdevelopmental camp is to train the players within environments
allowing them to grow in the interpretation and understanding of the game (problem solving and self-reflection). Upon completion of this camp the goal is for each player to depart camp with identifiable tools to interpret, understand, and solve problems in any environment they are in.
Once again proving that FC Elk Grove is the most premier club in the region.

The rosters and schedule have been released for the annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Thanksgiving Interregionals for both boys and girls teams.
The boys event will take place Nov. 24-26 at Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, AZ, with teams from each of the four regions, comprised of nearly 150 the nation’s top players selected from US Youth Soccer State Association and regional level evaluations.
The six-day girls event, comprised of nearly 300 of the nation’s top players selected from US Youth Soccer State Association and regional level evaluations, is set to take place Nov. 18-23 at Spanish River Athletic Park in Boca Raton, FL.
Continuing its tradition of elite competition and player development, youth from the nation's top player identification program, US Youth Soccer ODP, will train and compete in front of national staff and collegiate coaches to maximize their exposure for selection to the next level of play. The 2012 US Youth Soccer ODP Boys Thanksgiving Interregional will include players in the 2016-2018 graduation classes. The 2012 US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional will include players in the 2013-2017 graduation classes.
FC Elk Grove would like to congratulate Omari Fontes (99 Boys) and Lauren Williams (97 Girls) for being selected.

FC Elk Grove's Devlyn Jeter Signs National Letter Of Intent

Congratulations to FC Elk Grove's Devlyn Jeter who has signed a National Letter of Intent to play women’s soccer at the University of Portland.
“I’m very excited to sign with the University of Portland,” said Jeter. “I’ve known Lisa (assistant coach Lisa Sari) for a while, so that helped knowing she was there.”
Jeter plays for the ODP State Team and the ODP Regional squad, and she was a member of the National Team Pool in 2011. She was named the MVP of the state team in 2009, and she was a five-year team captain for her Elk Grove Club team.

FC Elk Grove, Elk Grove’s largest competitive soccer program, will be honoring its college-bound scholar athletes as they publically announce the universities and colleges they plan to attend and compete for starting in the Fall of 2012.

WHO: Several FC Elk Grove and local high school scholar-athletes preparing to graduate and play at the next level, including University of Portland-bound and U.S. U18 Women’s National team camp invitee Devlyn Jeter, and Cosumnes Oaks prep Kira Wagoner who is headed to the University of Oregon.
FC Elk Grove leadership and Director of Coaching Cesar Plasencia (Head Coach, Cosumnes River College) will make a few opening remarks.
ADDITIONAL: Several teams of FC Elk Grove players in uniform and the players’ parents and family will be on hand, providing good visuals for the festive event.
FC Elk Grove is the competitive soccer arm of the Elk Grove Youth Soccer League (EGYSL). FC Elk Grove has nearly 800 players on 55+ teams. EGYSL serves the Elk Grove community and has more than 5,500 players age 6-18.
